So, we haven't made a post here on our news blog for a couple of months… sorry about that! We have to try to do better, ha ha! We've just been too busy plugging away as a 4-piece for a while now and we must say “things are going great!” We've been more than pleased with the reception we've had from everyone! As always, our fans are the BEST!

At the same time, while things are going well, we just want to make it known that we are still actively looking for a guitarist or keyboard player. No doubt, John has been exceptional on the guitar, but we're just looking to expand our capabilities beyond what we are currently playing. Someone with vocal abilities would be a big plus too, of course.

Please feel free to share this information and/or if you know someone in the area that may be a good fit, please send them our way! If you follow our schedule, you know we're playing 2-3 times a month or so, at great venues and events, so booking is not a problem. The possibilities are endless! Thanks so much!

Oh yeah!! It was a pretty wild and crazy night at Over The Mountain - Rockton this past Saturday (2/28/26). We said good-bye to February with a BANG! A great big thank you goes out to the entire staff at OTM for having us back! Then definitely… thanks so much to everyone that came out and packed the place, and for helping to support our debut as a four-piece! WE APPRECIATE EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU! That's why we do this!!! We can't wait to do it again with y'all! It will only get better... See ya soon!

Up next is the Leprechaun Dance at the Punxsutawney Eagles Club for an early St. Paddy's Day Celebration on March 14th. It's open to the public, so come on out and party with us. We'd love to see you there! We will continue to add shows, so be sure to check back from time to time for our updated schedule!

We're getting excited about our upcoming show on Feb 28th at Over the Mountain! This will be our first gig as a four-piece band, so it's going to be a little different, but fun none-the-less! We've had to adjust our set lists a bit to make it work, but you can be rest assured you'll be able to dance the night away! Grab a bunch of friends and come out to join us for a great time and be sure to spread the word so we can pack this place! Also, we are still BOOKING! Be sure to check our schedule for updates. A BIG thank you to the Penn Highlands Clearfield Auxiliary for having us provide entertainment for their 113th Charity Ball, which was held on Jan. 31st in Clearfield. Such a nice atmosphere and a great crowd, all for an awesome cause!! Thanks so much to everyone involved! We certainly must thank Ben Pinchock for sitting in with us and giving that extra oomph on guitar. We also want to thank Newt and Ryan for adding their special touch on the sound and lighting! And we can't forget Salty for getting some great pics! It sure felt really good to get back out there! We'll see ya again soon as we fill our 2026 schedule!

Some things have changed since our last update. We no longer have a new member to introduce, but 8YL will carry on in 2026. Please bear with us as we continue to sort some things out. We have officially wrapped up our 2025 schedule. However, 8 YEARS LATER will be back in 2026! (We are just now starting to book again.) Be sure to check back for updates as well as an official announcement of our newest member. For now, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hey folks... Billy here! So, we have some unfortunate news to share. About a month or so ago, our guitarist, Tom informed us that he will be leaving the band for personal reasons. While this news came as quite a shock to the rest of us, we certainly understand and wish Tom the very best moving forward. The good news… Tom has, and will continue to play out all of our shows that were already booked at the time of his announcement, but we have not taken on anything new since, which you may have noticed if you follow our schedule. That leads us to the bad news. Our schedule of events is quickly winding down, and even worse, finding another like Tom to step right in is a real challenge. A replacement will have HUGE shoes to fill… that we know for sure! For now, our plan is to find someone else, but we realize we may have to consider other options. Before making a public notice, we placed some private ads here and there after we first found out, but we haven’t had any luck so far as great musicians like Tom are simply few and far between. They’re either already playing with someone else, or simply too far away. Therefore, the future of “8 Years Later” is uncertain at this time. That’s where you come in… please feel free to share this information and/or if you know someone that may be a good fit, send them our way. As always, thank you for your support!
